ضرت ابوہریرہ رضیﷲ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک آدمی نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے عرضکی رسولﷲ ﷺ ہم سمندر میں سفر کرتے ہیں اور ہم اپنے ساتھ تھوڑا سا پانی رکھتے ہیں پس اگر ہم وضو کریں تو پھر ہم پیاسے رہتے ہیں (یعنی وہ پانی ہمارے پینے اور وضو کرنے کی ضرورت کو پورا نہیں کر سکتا ) کیا ہم سمندر کے پانی سے وضو کر سکتے ہیں؟ تو رسولﷲ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا سمندر کا پانی پاک ہے اور اسکا مردار حلال ہے
It is narrated on the authority of Zarat Abu Huraira that a man said to the Prophet ﷺ: We travel on the sea and we carry a little water with us, so if we perform ablution, then we remain thirsty. and cannot fulfill the need for ablution) Can we perform ablution with sea water? Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The water of the sea is pure and its carcass is lawful.”
